Troy Skating Club Junior Club Program

Troy Skating Club’s Junior Club is designed for the skater who wants to compete and/or test their way through the levels of the US Figure Skating test structure.

Junior Club sessions run 90 minutes in length. The sessions are structured as self practice time. Lessons can be scheduled during the Junior Club sessions. Skaters are also encouraged to skate other days on coupon sessions.

Junior Club is designed to enhance and improve skating skills while keeping the skater’s interest and love of skating alive.

COST: Club ice rates did not go up this year! September payment is 75.00 and due Sept 13. Payment of $100.00 per month is due no later than the 5th of the month. This averages out to $8.33 per hour, which is a very good rate. The reason we can offer this rate is because of skaters supporting club ice by skating on it. A one day a week option is available for $75.00 per month.

PAYMENT: Please mail all payments to TSC PO BOX 83 Troy, OH 45373. Please put your skater’s name on the memo line and month you are paying for. We will no longer be accepting payment at the rink. Payment is due by the 5th of the month, except for September. Skater’s will not be permitted on the ice if payment is not received by the 5th of each month.

COUPON ICE: Coupon ice rates have increased to $7.50 for 45 minutes. Purchase coupons upstairs in the Rec Dept. Coupon ice should be utilized for extra practice in addition to club ice. Skaters should sign in and coupons should be placed in the blue box by the ice entrance. Please pay close attention to the time skated as the sessions are 45 minutes not 1 hour (like they are in the summer). If the box is not out or the box is full please notify maintenance staff or your coach. The rink is very good to us and we want to promote honesty within our club.

COMPETITIONS: We are hosting SEGL February 23-26, 2012 and the Troy Summer Skate: July 12-15, 2012. We will have a lot of volunteer opportunities with this! Please pass on our thanks to parents and skaters regarding the summer 2011 competition. Everyone (including and especially) skaters did a fabulous job and helped in many ways at our summer competition.
