Skaters NEED to have an active Learn to Skate Membership to participate in the ASPIRE classes. There is a once a year $17 membership fee.
Geared to Skaters who are in Basic Skills 4 or higherThe ASPIRE Program is set-up to create a team environment in skaters as well as enhance their techniques and focus on the skaters as a whole person not only an athlete. It will also be an opportunity for skaters to gain exposure to other styles/specialities of skating in our wide world of skating options! There will also be parent meetings to help guide you through your first years as a skating parent, navigating how to buy skates, enter competitions, skater nutrition, what different skills look like and so much more!
The ASPIRE Class includes 45 minutes of ON-ICE instruction with
Troy Skating Club Coaches & 15 minutes of off-ice instruction or discussion!
Troy Skating Club's ASPIRE Class will be featuring different skating styles (Intro to Ice Dance, Intro to Artistry in Motion, Moves in the Field patterns, etc.) and elements (spins, jumps, edges, warm-ups, practice patterns, etc.) as well as a parent informational component. There will also be free T-shirts and other USFS ASPIRE branded items!
The ASPIRE Mission: The U.S. Figure Skating Aspire Program provides a solid foundation in figure skating through the development of athleticism and artistry, empowering skaters to be successful on and off the ice.
