Learn to Skate Begins June 5th: Registration Opens Mid-May

Geared to Skaters who have passed Basic Skills 4 or higher!

The ASPIRE Program is set-up to create a team envirnoment in skaters as well as enhance their techniques and focus on the skaters as a whole person not only an athlete. It will also be an oppurtunity for skaters to gain expoure to other styles/specialities of skating in our wide world of skating options! There are also parent meeting to help guide you through your first years as a skating parent navigating how to buy skates, enter competitions, skater nutrition, what different skills look like and so much more!

Session 4 ASPIRE Classes will include 30 minutes of ON-ICE instruction with Troy Skating Club Coaches and 10 - 20 minutes of OFF-ICE training/discussion. Also parent informational meetings available!

Troy Skating Club's ASPIRE curriculum features samplings of different skating styles (Power Skating, Intro to Ice Dance, Intro to Artistry in Motion, Moves in the Field patterns, etc.) and elements (spins, jumps, edges, warm-ups, practice patterns, etc.) as well as a parent informational component. There will also be free T-shirts and other USFS ASPIRE branded items!

The ASPIRE Mission: The U.S. Figure Skating Aspire Program provides a solid foundation in figure skating through the development of athleticism and artistry, empowering skaters to be successful on and off the ice.
